Good! This is probably the aplication my psp lives for.

Hope to get the release soon.

BTW, why did you remove the image counter from the start menu in 0.8? (You know, the counter that showed the current image and the total number of images "52/80"). I'm missing it in 0.8.

Also, are you thinking on porting it to 3.xx kernel? Slim users are missing this great app!

Thank you. I have been using your app for a long time now, and it has brought me much joy. I have one feature request for a future release, and that is to (if possible) ad a delete file/folder option so i can delete the manga/comics off of my memory stick once i have read them. That way i dont have to worry about finding which ones i need to delete later to make more room for new stuff.

Thanks.

>>Please...I beg you...release this new version before the Christmass ... please... release it as soon as you can... (I have to travel)

Hahahahaha, this one made me laugh xD. Seconded, btw. The zip support would be just great, and the file deletion system should be fine too if that doesn't give too much trouble for you. I'm using the 0.8 and it works just great, It helps me a lot since I'm a sketcher in a mangaka team, and it's better to carry the scans of my characters on my psp, than carrying around thousands of folders and drawings that I can't afford to lose.
Keep up the good work, and if you need some beta-testing just let us know. This homebrew rocks. Greetings from the far side of the world.

man what a surprise!! great piece of homebrew! the reason that i have a psp until today.

like suloku said i'm missing the "counter from the start menu in 0.8 (You know, the counter that showed the current image and the total number of images "52/80")" it'll be good to see it again on 0.85

I think CBZ is better to support, because zip is much more light, and i always zip my comics with 0 compression.

Do you have plans to try a WMA support? Anyway thanks! you're the best

I'm really looking forward to this next release.

I suggest that if you haven't ported it to the 3.xx kernal then for now you just release the 1.50 version when you can and then work on updating since it seems like you would have to on and off port features until it would work otherwise.

Still really psyched, this is a great program that with your updates I am likely to get far more use out of it soon.

i love this app. it is really the BEST for viewing manga, and all my friends and people around me have it on their psp. please keep updating this great super app for the psp. unique homebrew!

there are only 2 minor fixes that i have noticed, and it would make the program perfect if these could be added:

1. when i finish viewing a set of pictures in a folder, and i want to go back to the viewing the list of folders in the main picture folder, isn't there any easier one-button-click way than having to move to the top and click on the "..." before it brings me back to the folder list??

2. when i am viewing inside a picture folder in the folder list, say for example, the 20th folder from the top, and when i go back to read the next 21st picture folder, i need to scroll back down again from the top of the folder list. can you please fix this? it is very tiring because many of us have many dozens and maybe even hundreds of folders, and having to scroll back down the whole folder list again is very annoying. maybe you could add an option from the current folder itself, to shift to the next folder in the order than it appears in the list.

here is just an idea:
you could also add an option where you sort the folders in numeric or alphabetic modes, or even add other modes, like reverse alphabetic mode, etc. like i said, your program is used mostly by the thousands of thousands of people who actually have a LOT of picture folders, and i really think you should concentrate into making this part of your program better, before shifting to any other aspects of it. anyways, just my feedback from all my experience with the psp users around me.

Like i said, these are minor but very important to all of us who use your program to read manga on the psp. this is exceedingly popular if you are not aware... just in my college, there are thousands of psp with your application, since almost everybody is into manga or have a lot of pictures in many folders.

your fan forever!

September 6, 2008 at 7:48 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Just one request before I kiss ass;

1) Could you make the viewer sort file names the same as windows does? i.e. not case sensitive. The only gripe I have with the program is the need to rename half of some volumes of manga from (ex) ch264 to Ch264 to get them to display in order. Yes, I like a single volume in a single folder... -_-"

Aside from that... hell, the above included, this is easily the best way to read manga on the go. Beats the crap out of carrying around my precious hard-copies. Keep up the good work Pens :-)

Anonymous,

here

http://down.cngba.com/psp/pspsoft/tools/2009010960649.shtml

Choose the orange button somewhere in the middle of the page, it'll open two or so pages, one of those pages should carry 3 mirrors you can directly download from.

Wow! The xReader works quite well. It gets rid of some limitations pep-viewer has. Though it lacks the zoom within image function and I found 50% picture zoom rate a little too small / 60% much, probably 55% would have been perfect, but could not adjust. Anyway, thanks Andre for the English version.

I'd say X-Reader beat PepViewer already by miles, but I'd appreciate a new release just as well :)

I might google tommorow for a new X-Reader build.

I'll continue to post the newest versions of X-Reader sporadically in this thread. Scroll up for the July/August one. It's stable, it got Cubic scaler, eats little to none battery due to underclocking wihle reading and is all kinds of awesome.

Thanks for the hard work!! Even with only jpeg and png support, PEP is already the good.I really like the app bcoz its user friendly and fast. Sometimes it does freeze when opening some pages but its fine. I just restart the app and it open the file again and it will work. Adding cbr, zip and rar support will certainly going to make it the best!.

BTW Do you guys have PEP Viewer for Windows? that would be awesome!

U can use any PEP viewer version on any CFW PSP. However, you have to use a third party program which is called "eLoader by TotalNoobs"

It will make PEP viewer work on higher CFW PSP.
